Rhode
Island College Men’s Basketball to
Open 2007-08 Season vs. Div. I Holy Cross
|

|
Providence,
RI—The
Rhode Island College men’s basketball team will open the 2007-08
season with an exhibition game vs. Div. I Holy Cross on Thursday, Nov.
1 at the Hart Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. |

|
The Crusaders were the 2007 Patriot League Regular Season and
Tournament Champions, as well as an NCAA Div. I Men’s Basketball
Tournament participant. |

|
In 2006-07,
Rhode Island College
posted a 27-4 overall record and earned a berth in the 2007 NCAA Div.
III Men’s Basketball Tournament, where the Anchormen advanced to the
Elite Eight. The Anchormen established school records for the most
wins in a season, won their first-ever Little East Conference Men’s
Basketball Tournament and were the LEC Regular Season Champions for
the second time in the past three years. Rhode Island College made its
first NCAA Tournament appearance in 28 years. |
