Three 20-Point Scorers Hand Anchorwomen First Loss of the Year |

Providence, RI—Bridgewater State led wire-to-wire in a 93-76
win over Rhode Island College in women’s basketball action on Tuesday
evening. The Bears earn their first win of the season and improve to
1-2, while the Anchorwomen fall to 2-1. |

|
Bridgewater State shot 53 percent (31-for-58) from the field in the
game and 79 percent (27-for-34) from the free throw line to earn the
victory. |
|
|
|
Three Bears scored 20 or more points in the win, led by junior guards
Justine Farroba (North Attleboro, MA) and Melissa Murphy
(Rockland, MA) who registered game-high 21 point efforts. Farroba,
who was four-for-six from behind the three-point arc, added six
assists, three boards and two steals. Murphy was 11-for-13 from the
free throw line to go along with six boards, four assists and three
steals. |

Junior forward Caitlin Feeney (Providence, RI) recorded a
double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds to go along with four
steals and three assists. Senior forward Catie Furtado (Taunton,
MA) had 19 points and seven rebounds. |

|
Freshman guard Alice Mullen (Saunderstown, RI) scored a
career-high 19 points in a losing effort for the Anchorwomen. Senior
forward Kari Geisler (Deerfield, NH) registered a double-double
with 10 points and a game-high 13 rebounds. |

upcoming action, RIC will play at Wellesley on Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 7
p.m. |
