Rhode
Island College to Host Softball Hitting,
Elite Skills and Pitching/Catching Clinics in January |

Providence, RI—Rhode
Island College will host three softball clinics at its Recreation
Center during the month of January 2007. |
|
|
|
Under the
direction of RIC Head Softball Coach Maria Morin, the Elite
Skills Clinic will be held on Friday, Jan. 19 from 6-8:30 p.m. The
clinic is for girls’ grades nine through 12. This camp is for the
serious softball player looking to get ready for her season. They will
receive skills and drills instruction on their primary fielding
position to go along with limited hitting instruction. The cost is
$50. Registration will begin at 5:30 p.m. |

There will be two
sessions of the pitching/catching clinic. Session I will be
held on Saturday, Jan. 20 from 1-3 p.m. Session II is Saturday, Jan.
27 from 6-8 p.m. The clinic is for girls’ ages 10 and up. Campers will
receive instruction on catching or pitching. There are two instruction
levels for pitchers: beginner or intermediate/advanced. The cost is
$50 for a single sessions or $80 for both sessions. Registration will
begin 30 minutes prior to the start of each session. |

The hitting
clinic will be held on Saturday, Jan. 27 from 1-4 p.m. The clinic
is for girls’ ages 10 and up. The cost is $80. Registration will begin
at 12:30 p.m. |
