Women’s Indoor Track Competes at Coast Guard Invitational
Horsman & Fleming Lead Anchorwomen Again

Gorham, ME—Head Coach Kevin Jackson’s team competed at the Southern Maine Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 27. The Anchorwomen placed fifth (seven teams) with a score of 29.50.

Sophomore Mary Ellen Horsman (Barrington, RI) placed second in the weight throw with a distance of 13.10 meters.

Sophomore Kayla Fleming (Pawtucket, RI) placed third in the high jump with a leap of 1.53 meters. She also placed third in the 800 meters with a time of 2:28.41.

Freshman Stephanie Bucci (Smithfield, RI) placed fourth in the shot with a distance of 10.00 meters. She also placed fifth in the weight throw at 11.46 meters.

Sophomore Hannah Clark (Attleboro, MA) placed eighth in the 3,000 meters with a time of 13:34.16.

In upcoming action, the Anchorwomen will compete at the University of Rhode Island on Saturday, Feb. 3.
