RHODE ISLAND COLLEGE WOMEN’S INDOOR TRACK PLACES NINTH AT ALLIANCE
CHAMPIONSHIPS |
|
|
|
Medford, MA—The
Rhode Island College women’s indoor track and field team took part
in the Little East Conference/MASCAC Alliance Championships, hosted
by Tufts on Saturday, February 10. The Anchorwomen tied for ninth
overall (10 teams) with 19.0 points and fifth in the Little East
(five teams) with a team score of 22.0. |

Sophomore Kayla Fleming (Pawtucket, RI) earned
All-Alliance/Little East honors in two events. She placed first the
1,000 meters with a time of 3:12.58 and fourth in the high jump with
a leap of 1.54 meters. |
|
|
|
Freshman Stephanie Bucci (Smithfield, RI) earned
All-Alliance/Little East honors in two events. She placed sixth in
the shot put and eighth in the weight throw with distances of 10.09
and 11.10 meters, respectively. |
|
|
|
In upcoming action, the Anchorwomen will take part in the New
England Div. III Championships, hosted by Boston University on
Friday and Saturday, Feb. 16-17. |
