PLACES FOURTH AT TRI-STATE INVITATIONAL |

RI –
The Rhode Island College women’s cross country teams competed the
annual Tri-State Invitational, hosted by the Community College of
Rhode Island on Saturday afternoon. |
|
|
|
The
Anchorwomen placed fourth (six teams) with a score of 83. Clark won
the race (36), WPI finished second (45), while Worcester State was
third (67). Johnson & Wales (103) and Mitchell (131) finished fifth
and sixth, respectively. UMass Boston also had runners compete at
the meet. |

|
Freshman
Kathryn Cote (Greenville, RI) was RIC’s top runner, placing 10th
with a time of 22:13. Freshman Heather Feeney (Warwick, RI)
placed 20th with a time of 23:06. Freshman Katie
Desrosiers (Warwick, RI) placed 21st with a time of
23:08. Freshman Lindsey Brisson (Coventry, RI) placed 22nd
with a time of 23:09. Freshman Ashley Delamare (Smithfield, RI)
placed 33rd with a time of 23:39. Sophomore
Christine Smith (Foster, RI) placed 38th with a time
of 23:55. Freshman Nicole Poirier (Concord, NH) placed 39th
with a time of 23:58. Freshman Rachael Procter (East Providence,
RI) placed 43rd with a time of 24:19. Freshman
Hope Clark (Attleboro, MA) placed 46th with a time of
24:50. Junior Hannah Clark (Attleboro, MA) placed 50th
with a time of 25:28. |
