RHODE ISLAND COLLEGE WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY
PLACES FIFTH AT ROGER WILLIAMS INVITATIONAL

Bristol, RI – The Rhode Island College women’s cross country teams placed fifth (12 teams) with a score of 131 at the Roger Williams Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 6. The Hawks won the meet with a team score of 45.

Freshman Kathryn Cote (Greenville, RI) was RIC’s top runner for the second straight week, placing 17^th with a time of 22:25. Freshman Katie Desrosiers (Warwick, RI) was eight seconds off of Cote’s pace, placing 19^th  with a time of 22:33. Freshman Lindsey Brisson (Coventry, RI) placed 31^st with a time of 23:12. Freshman Heather Feeney (Warwick, RI) placed 34^th with a time of 23:21. Sophomore Christine Smith (Foster, RI) placed 38^th with a time of 23:33. Freshman Nicole Poirier (Concord, NH) placed 39^th with a time of 23:33. Freshman Rachael Procter (East Providence, RI) placed 55^th with a time of 24:05. Freshman Ashley Delamare (Smithfield, RI) placed 65^th with a time of 24:51. Freshman Hope Clark (Attleboro, MA) placed 76^th with a time of 25:54. Junior Hannah Clark (Attleboro, MA) placed 82^nd with a time of 26:42.

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at Eastern Connecticut on Saturday, Oct. 13.
