COUNTRY
PLACES 15th AT ECAC CHAMPIONSHIPS |

Williamstown, MA –
The Rhode Island College men’s cross country team placed 15th
(37 teams) with a team score of 476 at the Eastern College Athletic
Conference (ECAC) New England Div. III Championships, hosted by
Williams on Saturday, Nov. 3. Williams won the title with a score of
45. |

Freshman
Cesar Smith (Bristol, RI) was RIC’s top finisher, placing 55th
overall (265 runners) with a time of 27:59. |
|
|
|
Junior
Greg Ahnrud (Chepachet, RI) placed 61st with a time
of 28:07. Freshman Mike Macedo (North Scituate, RI) placed 82nd
with a time of 28:31. Senior Mike Van Gieson (Foster, RI)
placed 147th with a time of 29:52. Junior Hunter
Stewart (Foster, RI) placed 161st with a time of
30:16. Junior David Simpson (West Warwick, RI) placed 167th
with a time of 30:29. Freshman Tony Yin (Attleboro, MA)
placed 222nd with a time of 32:25. |
