Garcia is the
first RIC women’s volleyball player to earn the Offensive Player of
the Year Award. She was also
named the women’s volleyball team’s MVP. Garcia
played in 114 games in 32 matches, totaling 465 kills (4.12/game), a
.302 hitting percentage, 61 service aces (.54/game), 305 digs
(2.7/game) and 127 blocks (1.12/game). She led the team in kills,
hitting percentage, service aces and blocks. Garcia was twice named
the Little East Conference Women’s Volleyball Offensive Player of
the Week, the Defensive Player of the Week once and was selected to
the Brandeis Invitational’s All-Tournament Team. |
