Rhode Island College Begins Search for
New Head Women’s Basketball Coach

Providence, RI--Rhode Island College announced it will not re-new the contract of Head Women’s Basketball Coach Spencer Manning. A nationwide search for a new coach will begin immediately.

Manning totaled a 68-65 (.511) record during his five seasons at the helm. The Anchorwomen posted a 12-13 overall record and were 5-9 (fifth place) in the Little East Conference this past season. In 2006-07, RIC was 17-11 and competed in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) New England Div. III Championship, the only postseason berth of Manning’s tenure.
