10 Rhode Island College
Student-Athletes Named to Little East Conference Fall All-Academic
Team
|
|
|
|
|
|
Providence, RI—The
Little East Conference office recently announced the honorees for
the inaugural All-Academic teams for the 2007-08 winter season and
10 Rhode Island College student-athletes were selected.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Student-athletes earned recognition on the
all-academic teams based on the following criteria: at least a
sophomore academic and athletic standing, and a minimum cumulative
grade point average of a 3.2. The conference office honored
student-athletes in the following sports:
men’s and
women’s basketball, men’s and women’s indoor track and field. |

The following RIC student-athletes were recognized: |

Women’s Basketball:
Sophomore Christina Coro (North Providence, RI), senior
Sherri Heard (Coventry, RI) and junior Tyla Martin
(Cumberland, RI). |

|
Men’s Indoor Track and Field:
Junior Greg Ahnrud (Chepachet, RI), sophomore Kwame
Gyampo (Providence, RI), senior John Martinelli (North
Providence, RI), senior Mike Van Gieson (Foster, RI) and
sophomore Max Willett (Portsmouth, RI). |
