Knott’s Career-High 19 Paces Six

Beverly, Mass.—Rhode
Island College bounced back with an 81-55 win over Wilkes in the
consolation game of the Endicott Invitational Tournament on Saturday
afternoon. The Anchorwomen, who were beaten decisively, 78-44, by
Tufts in the first round yesterday, increased their offensive output
by 37 points to improve to 1-1 on the season. Wilkes falls to 0-2. |

RIC sophomore
forward Jenn Knott (Narragansett, RI) led all scorers and
rebounders with a career-high 19-point, six-board performance.
Senior guard Sarah Coughlin (Attleboro, MA) equaled a
career-high with 10 assists to go along with 10 points and three
steals. Junior guard Tyla Martin (Cumberland, RI) logged 13
points and a game-high seven steals, while sophomore guard Alice
Mullen (Saunderstown, RI) chipped in with 12 points. Senior
forward Jill Bixby (Greenville, RI) logged 10 points and
matched Knott’s rebound total with six. Junior guard Michelle
McNamee (Cranston, RI) posted 10 points. |

was a shade under 50 percent from the field (30-for-61, .492) in the
game, while going an impressive 16-for-18 (.889) from the charity
stripe. |
