Sarah Coughlin Named Little East
Women’s Basketball Player of the Week
|

RI—Rhode
Island College senior guard Sarah Coughlin North Attleboro, MA)
was named the Little East Conference Women’s Basketball Player of
the Week for her performance in two games. |
|
|
|
|
|

|
|
|
|
|
Coughlin
averaged 12.5 points and 8.0 assists per game to lead Rhode Island
College to a 2-0 mark. She recorded her first career double-double
at UMass Boston on Jan. 26, scoring 10 points and dishing out 11
assists. Her 11-assist effort against the Beacons established a
personal career best, while also ranking third in Anchorwomen
history. Earlier in the week, Coughlin scored 15 points against
UMass Dartmouth. She shot 56.25 percent from the field (9-16) and
pulled in 11 total rebounds. |

For the season, she has played in 16 games, starting
all of them. She is averaging 8.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 5.8 assists
and 2.6 steals per game. |

Head Coach
Spencer Manning’s team is 9-7 overall and 3-4 in the Little East
Conference. In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will play at
Western Connecticut on Tuesday, Jan. 29 at 5:30 p.m. |
