Steina Flemming Named Little East
Track
Athlete of the Week
Sophomore Provisionally
Qualifies for NCAAs at Wesleyan Invitational

Island College
sophomore Steina Flemming (Tortola, BVI) was named the Little
East Conference Women’s Track Athlete of the Week for the second
consecutive week. |
|
|
|
|
|
She established a new school record in the 55 meters,
placing second in the finals with a time of 7.32 at the
Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 26,
which provisionally qualifies her for the NCAA Div. III Women’s
Indoor Track and Field Championships. Flemming placed third in the
preliminaries with a time of 7.47. |

Kevin Jackson’s team will next see action at the University of
Rhode Island’s Mega Meet on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 1-2. |
