SARAH COUGHLIN NAMED TO LITTLE EAST CONFERENCE WOMEN’S BASKETBALL WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

Providence, RI—Rhode Island College senior guard Sarah Coughlin (North Attleboro, MA) was named to the Little East Conference Women’s Basketball Weekly Honor Roll for her performance in two games last week.

Coughlin helped lead RIC to a 1-1 week, averaging 14.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 4.5 steals per game. She shot 10-for-23 (.435) from the floor as the Anchorwomen fell to Western Connecticut, 67-55, on Jan. 29 and defeated Keene State, 66-64, in overtime on Feb. 2. She logged 18 points, four rebounds, eight assists and six steals in the win over the Owls.

For the season, she has played in 18 games, starting all of them. Coughlin is averaging 9.0 points, 4.6 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 2.8 steals per game.

Head Coach Spencer Manning’s team is 10-8 overall and 4-5 (fourth place tie) in the Little East Conference. In upcoming action, RIC will travel to Mitchell on Wednesday, Feb. 6 for a 7 p.m. game.
