MIKE BONORA KEEPS ON ROLLING
AT NCAA DIV. III CHAMPIONSHIPS

Cedar Rapids, IA—Top-seeded
Rhode Island College senior 141 lbs. Mike Bonora (Nutley, NJ) won both
of his matches Friday at the NCAA Div. III Wrestling Championships,
hosted by Coe and Cornell Colleges at the U.S. Cellular Center. |

Bonora
received a bye in the first round, before defeating Chase
DeCleene from UW-Stevens Point, 8-5, and Travis Grawin
from Luther, 11-8, to improve his record to 42-2 on the season. The
two victories assure him of All-American status, a feat he also
accomplished last winter. Bonora is slated to face Stephen Hult
from New York University tomorrow morning. |

Sophomore 157 lbs. Mike Martini
(Cranston, RI) saw his season come to an end in two losses on
Friday. He fell to Erik Hanson from Loras, 8-2, and Ryan
Herwig from Delaware Valley via pin at 6:33 to eliminate him
from competition. Martini ends his season with a 34-9 record. |
