Rhode Island College Names Jamey Vetelino
Assistant Coach for Men’s and Women’s Cross Country, Indoor
Track and Outdoor Track |

Providence, RI— Rhode
Island College named Jamey Vetelino (Westerly, RI) as the
Assistant Coach for men’s and women’s cross country, indoor
track and field and outdoor track and field. He will assist Head
Coach Kevin Jackson with all phases of RIC’s cross country
and track and field programs. |

"I am very excited
to join the Rhode Island College cross country and track and field
programs," Vetelino says. "I feel that with the athletes
we have and the quality of coaching, success will shortly
follow." |
|
|
|
Vetelino is a 1998
graduate of Brown University. He ran cross country, indoor track and
outdoor track for the Bears from 1994-98. Vetelino was an
All-American in the distance medley relay event during the indoor
track season as a junior in 1998. He earned four First Team All-Ivy
League honors in the distance medley relay and 4 x 800 meter relay
events during his collegiate career. |

He earned Second Team All-Ivy honors in
the mile during the indoor season and the 1,500 meters during the
outdoor campaign in 1998. He earned Second Team All-Ivy League
honors during the cross country season in 1995. |
|
|
|
Vetelino earned a bachelor’s degree in
human biology from Brown in 1998. In addition to his coaching
duties, Vetelino is a Sales Representative for the Washington Trust
Company. |

|
He is single and resides in Westerly,
Rhode Island. |
