2002 Cardi’s Furniture Fall Baseball Classic Schedule Announced
Providence, RI—The annual Cardi’s Furniture Fall Baseball Classic will begin on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2002 with first round action and continue on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 12-13.
Six area colleges and universities will take part in the tournament. Bryant College is the number one seed, followed by number two-seeded Community College of Rhode Island, third-seeded Roger Williams University, fourth-seeded Salve Regina University, fifth-seeded Rhode Island College and sixth-seeded Johnson and Wales University.
The first round games on Wednesday, Oct. 9 will feature #6 Johnson & Wales University at #3 Roger Williams and #5 Rhode Island College at #4 Salve Regina University. Both games begin at 4 p.m. at the higher seed’s institution. #1 Bryant and #2 CCRI have first round byes.
The tournament will move to McCarthy Field in West Warwick on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 12-13.
Bryant will face the winner of the Johnson and Wales vs. Roger Williams game at 10 a.m. on Oct. 12. CCRI will face the winner of the RIC vs. Salve Regina game at 1 p.m. on Oct. 12. The losers of Wednesday’s game will play at 4 p.m.
The Championship Game is at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13.
