Rhode Island College Women’s Indoor Track Update #1

Providence, RI-- Head Coach Kevin Jackson’s team opened up the 2002-03 indoor season at the Brown Invitational on Saturday, Dec. 7. No team scores were kept at the meet.

Freshman Kim Cadden (Warwick, RI) placed ninth in the mile with a time of 5:41.68.

Sophomore Rolanda Mangum (Providence, RI) placed 12^th in the weight throw with a distance of 41’02.25". She placed 13^th in the shot with a distance of 30’05.50".

Sophomore Jessica Leonard (Warwick, RI) placed 15^th in the weight throw with a distance of 39’07.75".

Junior Joanne Pora (Attleboro, MA) placed 16^th in the weight throw with a distance of 38’02.00". She placed 15^th in the shot with a distance of 27’06.50".

Freshman Allison DeRoy (Smithfield, RI) placed 21^st in the weight throw with a distance of 19’08.25". She placed 19^th in the shot with a distance of 19’08.00".

Freshman Temitayo Adenodi (Woonsocket, RI) placed 18^th in the 55 meters with a time of 8.36. She placed 18^th in the 200 meters with a time of 30.63.

Sophomore Katherine McCalligett (Warwick, RI) placed 11^th in the 400 meters with a time of 1:04.12.

Sophomore Rebecca Horton (Seekonk, MA) placed 12^th in the mile with a time of 6:05.14.

Freshman Tiffany Kirch (Hope, RI) placed 21^st in the 200 meters with a time of 35.51.

Freshman Dana Schmidt (North Scituate, RI) placed 23^rd in the 200 meters with a time of 36.66.

Freshman Dana Skorupa (Cumberland, RI) placed eighth in the 300 meters with a time of 45.44.

Freshman Bridget Hjerpe (Cranston, RI) placed ninth in the 3,000 meters with a time of 12:02.21.

In upcoming action, RIC will compete at the Harvard Invitational on Saturday, Dec. 14.
