Rhode Island College Men’s Indoor Track Update #2

Providence, RI--Head Coach Kevin Jackson’s team competed at the Harvard Invitational on Saturday, Dec. 14. No team scores were kept at the meet.

Freshman Emmanuel Karngar (Providence, RI) placed first in the 800 meters with a time of 1:55.69.

Junior Tim Rudd (Warwick, RI) placed third in the mile with a time of 4:30.15.

Sophomore Joe Parenteau (Smithfield, RI) placed fourth in the 3,000 meters with a time of 9:09.95.

Sophomore Marc Piette (Woonsocket, RI) placed third in the weight throw with a distance of 14.15 meters. He placed sixth in the shot with a distance of 12.00 meters.

Senior Mike Daniels (Warwick, RI) placed fifth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:02.05.

Freshman Nick Palazzo (Providence, RI) placed fifth in the weight throw with a distance of 12.80 meters.

Freshman Richard Palazzo (Providence, RI) placed eighth in the weight throw with a distance of 10.34 meters.

Junior Joseph Padykula (Seekonk, MA) placed seventh in the weight throw with a distance of 11.11 meters.

Junior Andrew Turenne (Plainfield, CT) placed ninth in the weight throw with a distance of 7.49 meters. He placed ninth in the shot with a distance of 27'10.75".

Senior Brian Carney (Barrington, RI) placed 31^st in the 400 meters with a time of 1:05.29. He placed eighth in the long jump with a leap of 4.90 meters.

Freshman Michael Januario (Bristol, RI) placed 22^nd in the 200 meters with a time of 26.44.

Freshman Ken Sakor (Providence, RI) placed 13^th in the 400 meters with a time of 53.02.

Sophomore Chris Fernandes (Cumberland, RI) placed 19^th in the 200 meters with a time of 25.15.

Freshman John Meschisen (North Attleboro, MA) placed 24^th in the 200 meters with a time of 26.69.

Sophomore Matt Faria (Seekonk, MA) placed 10^th in the 800 meters with a time of 2:14.32.

RIC is off for finals and the holidays. The Anchormen will resume the season at the Yale Invitational on Jan. 11.
