Rhode Island College Men’s Indoor Track Update #4

Providence, RI--Head Coach Kevin Jackson’s team competed at the Greater Boston Track Invitational, hosted by Harvard University, on Sunday, Jan. 19. No Team scores were kept.

Freshman Emmanuel Karngar (Providence, RI) placed first in the 800 meters with a time of 1:54.17, finishing ahead of several Div. I competitors.

Junior Tim Rudd (Warwick, RI) placed ninth in the mile with a time of 4:29.18.

Sophomore Joe Parenteau (Smithfield, RI) placed 13^th in the mile with a time of 4:31.08.

Sophomore Marc Piette (Woonsocket, RI) placed third in the weight throw with a distance of 48’11.50."

Freshman Nick Palazzo (Providence, RI) placed sixth in the weight throw with a distance of 43’09.75."

Freshman Richard Palazzo (Providence, RI) placed eighth in the weight throw with a distance of 38’05.00."

Junior Joseph Padykula (Seekonk, MA) placed tenth in the weight throw with a distance of 34’07.75. "

Senior Brian Carney (Barrington, RI) placed 17^th in the long jump with a leap of 15'11.00."

Freshman Michael Januario (Bristol, RI) recorded a time of 26.69 in the preliminary round of the 200 meters.

Sophomore Chris Fernandes (Cumberland, RI) recorded a time of 25.58 in the preliminary round of the 200 meters.
