Collins and Wells to Captain
Rhode Island College Women’s Lacrosse;
Babat and Beaudry to Serve as Assistant Captains |

Providence, RI—Rhode
Island College juniors Cara Collins (Johnston,
RI)
and Kim Wells (Granby,
CT)
will captain the women’s lacrosse team for the 2003
season. Sophomores Erika Babat (North
Kingstown, RI)
and Danielle Beaudry (West
Greenwich, RI)
will serve as assistant captains. |

|
As a sophomore
defenseman in 2002, Collins played in 11 games, starting all of them.
She had one goal for one point, five ground balls, two caused
turnovers and three draw controls. |
|
|
|
She is a studio
art painting major with a minor in graphic design and a 1999 graduate
of La Salle Academy. |
|
|
|
As a sophomore
attack wing in 2002, Wells played in ten games, starting all of them.
She had two goals for two points, 11 ground balls, one caused turnover
and one draw control. |
|
|
|
She is a
political science major with a minor in communications and a 2000
graduate of Granby High School. |
|
|
|
As a freshman
defenseman in 2002, Babat played in eleven games, starting all of
them. She had one goal for one point, 33 ground balls, two caused
turnovers, one pass interception and 16 draw controls. She led the
team in ground balls and was second in draw controls. |
|
|
|
She is an
elementary education major with a concentration in special education
and a 2001 graduate of North Kingstown High School. |
|
|
|
As a sophomore
attackman in 2002, Beaudry played in nine games, starting eight of
them. She had five goals and four assists for nine points, ten ground
balls, one caused turnover and three draw controls. She led the team
in assists and was third on the team in goals and points. |
|
|
|
She is an
elementary education major with a minor in special education and a
2001 graduate of Exeter-West Greenwich High School. |
|
|
