Cristin Searles
Installation
December 7 – 29![]() Cristin Searles. Romance (detail), 2006. Installation. |
Cristin Searles, a Providence-based conceptual artist, perceives her
sculptures as a method of deconstructing her material while providing for an
intriguing level of formalism in her installations. For this exhibition, Searles
is constructing a site-specific sculptural installation from starched silk
organza. Opening Reception: December 7, 7:00 p.m., with artist presentation and performance. |
Paula Hunter

Paula Hunter will perform her quirky and always stimulating work in collaboration with artist, Cristin Searles on December 7th at 7 pm at the Bannister Gallery at RI College.
Hunter began collaborating with visual artists early in her career (Sculpture Park, NY State.1981) and has never turned back. In RI, she has worked with Meg Governo and Esther Solondz at a show in Wheeler Gallery entitled, Losing Track and more recently with sculptor, Elizabeth Keithline at the Newport Art Gallery (video by Richard Goulis).
Her work with Cristin Searles will feature her athletic, cool style always linked to her ironic, humorous view of human existence.
