This exhibition examines the relationships artists share in making their
art, and explores commonalities and differences between artists and their art
practice. Representing diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds and sexual
orientation, the exhibiting couples are Fo Wilson and Kimberley-Blue Wade, Ida
Schmulowitz and John Riedel, and Erik Gould and Rebecca Siemering. James Montford, director of Bannister Gallery, curates the exhibition. Bannister Gallery Hall Space Simone Spruce, a resident artist at AS220 motivated by authenticity, exhibits work from her series focusing on religious themes as they relate to her feminist concerns. Opening: March 9, artists' talk at 6:00 p.m. Reception follows. |
