Volunteer Services

Volunteer information is available at our office. In the past we have sponsored several service activities to benefit those in need.

The Christmas Giving Tree / Toy Collection

Over the past few years the Campus Ministry has been sponsoring a toy drive to provide inner-city children with toys for Christmas. The toys that were collected have been distributed through the local churches.

If you would like to participate, just follow these steps. Collection should start near the end of the Fall semester:

  • Pick up an ornament off the tree that will be located at the Donovan Dining Center. Or, you can call Campus Ministry and we will send you one through the mail.
  • The ornament will have the age and gender of the child. Buy an age and gender appropriate gift of your choice. Remember to attach the ornament to the gift. Do not wrap the gift.
  • Bring the gift to the Campus Ministry office the first 2 weeks of December.

Food Collections for Thanksgiving & Christmas

With the help of the RIC Community, we provided food for Thanksgiving dinner to local families. This year we are sponsoring a Food Collection in the hopes of feeding more families throughout the entire holiday season. If you would like to participate, drop-off times and locations will be announced here and around campus at the beginning of the Fall semester. Call the office the last week of October for information on a family. Return non-perishable food and or gift certificates during the 2nd week of November for Thanksgiving and the 2nd week of December for Christmas.

Easter Food and Candy Collection

This year we hope to bring joy to inner-city children and their families at Easter as well as Thanksgiving and Christmas. Please deliver all non-perishable food, candy, Easter Baskets and or gift certificates to the Campus Ministry.
