HERE Tufts Graduate Schools consist of 8 graduate schools which include the Sackler School of Biomedical Sciences, the Friedman School of Nutrition, the School of Medicine, the Dental School, the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, the Graduate School of Engineering, the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine and the Fletcher School of International Diplomacy.
Room and Board are free. Eligibility requires that a student have a minimum GPA of 3.0 to be eligible to attend this event. Space is limited. Juniors and seniors are strongly preferred to attend and will be given preference with acceptance to this event. Students and programs must pay for their own travel to this event. Room and board are provided by Tufts University for June 20th and 21st.
Tufts University is a private Research1/University of High Research activity located in the Boston, Massachusetts metro area. The university is organized into undergraduate programs and eight graduate schools on 3 campuses in Massachusetts . The university emphasizes active citizenship and public service in all of its disciplines.
Summer jobs for the environment: ban the bag in Rhode Island
Positions are appropriate for all majors and class years.
The Fund for the Public Interest is accepting applications for summer job opportunities with Environment Rhode Island and other public interest groups in Rhode Island and nationwide. The Fund is a nonprofit group that runs canvass offices in Providence and in cities around the country to do outreach, education, and fundraising for organizations like Environment Rhode Island. In our Providence office this summer, we'll be working to build support to protect Narragansett Bay from plastic pollution by banning plastic bags.
Currently, we have paid positions open for campaign staff in each of our locations. We require that interested candidates are hard workers and have excellent communication skills.
As a member of our staff, you will fund raise, build membership for our partner groups, and educate and activate citizens on pressing issues. You will also have the opportunity to organize press conferences and build coalitions with other non-profit organizations. While on staff, you gain knowledge of pressing concerns our country is facing, learn how to effectively generate public support, and obtain a firm understanding of the political process.
