Working on-campus can provide advantages such as: working between classes, working no more than 20 hours per week (less in some cases), working evenings, and weekends, hours of work are scheduled around your class schedule, and will help to familiarize you with the college and campus life. Some examples of available on-campus positions are: lifeguards, clerical work, library aid, computer technician, laboratory aide, tour guide, after school teacher assistant. These positions can be to your advantage, particularly if they relate to your major. For example, if you are a computer major you may wish to secure a position in one of our state of the art computer labs, or if your major is Biology, working in the biology laboratory may be helpful to your own lab class. Regardless of the type of work, you earn money and learn new skills. Working on campus can be a very rewarding and challenging experience for you.
