Advertisement for Awarded Lectures
All lectures or workshops funded by the Committee on College Lectures must be free, open to the public, and conducted on the RIC campus. It is mandatory that your program be advertised with campus flyers. Publicity about the event should acknowledge the support of College Lectures. Failure to advertise the lecture may negatively affect any future lecture application.
We also recommend that you send notification to the Office of College Communications and Marketing for inclusion in the “RIC Weekly Report” email and to have the event added to the online College Calendar. Additionally it is advised that a brief announcement should be sent to Scott Kane in the Student Affairs department so that an email can be sent to all students on campus. Time permitting, you might also advertise in What’s News at RIC and The Anchor.
In addition, we encourage you to attempt to find additional ways to reach out to the college community to create as large an audience as possible for the events that you are planning.
