Meal Plans

Donovan Dining Center's commitment to excellence and our recognition of the diverse needs of our resident students, is evident in our increased services and menus, liberal spending limits and four distinct Meal Plans from which to choose.

Donovan Dining Center is proud to be able to offer our residents four distinct choices of meal plans, in itself a rarity when compared to other colleges with a limited number of residents.

We encourage you to carefully review the meal plan options in order to choose the plan that best fits your needs.

Board Plans

Plan A - Often referred to as the "Peace Of Mind" Plan. This plan offers a variety of menu selections at traditional meal times with a generous spending limit. Great for frequent diners and athletes. Pay $1,825 per semester and receive 19 meals/week plus 4,800 bonus points.

Plan B - This plan is designed for the average diner who will miss several meals during the week. Any 15 meals may be chosen, in any combination, over a period of seven days. Pay $1,725 per semester and and receive any 15 meals/week plus 4,400 bonus points.

How do these plans work?

Residents are entitled to participate in 19, 15, or 10 of the meals offered at the times listed. For each meal period there is a dollar amount limit as follows:

Day
Meal
Time
Amount
Monday - Friday Breakfast 7:00 - 10:30am $5.50
Lunch 10:30am - 2:00pm $7.25
Dinner 4:00 - 7:30pm $8.25
Saturday - Sunday Continental Breakfast 9:00am - 10:00pm
Brunch 10:30am - 3:30pm $7.25
Dinner 3:30- 6:00pm $8.25

Is there a refund for missed meals?

We recognize that some residents may miss a meal on occasion and we have calculated this "Miss Meal Factor" into the initial cost of your meal plans.

What do I do if I must miss a meal because of my schedule?

Should you be in this position contact the DDC office (456-8207) prior to the time and arrangements will be made to insure you have a box meal.

What do I do if I go over the dollar limit?

You may pay the difference through your bonus points. Addtionally, you may utilized these points during non-meal periods or opt to have a guest join you for a meal or any similar combination you choose.

Point Plans

Plan C and D (Convenience) - These plans offer Residents a debit type account at the start of the semester from which each purchase is then deducted. Residents can spend any amount they wish, at any time DDC is open, provided their balance available covers their purchase. Residents choosing this plan must recognize that they have a finite amount to cover the total number of purchases throughout the semester.

Plan Cost Points

C: $1,925 per semester 95,000 points ($950 per semester)

D: $1,825 per semester 88,200 points ($880 per semester)

Why do Plans C & D have less points than their initial cost?

The difference covers fixed costs incurred, such as Administrative, staffing, utilities, cleaning, trash disposal, building maintenance, etc.

What can I do if I run out of points?

Additional points can be purchased at anytime from the Campus Card Office (VISA and MasterCard are accepted).

Can I carry points over from year to year?

The Dining Service does allow points from the Fall semester to carry over into the Spring semester.
However, after the last board day, the balance of all points in the Spring semester are cancelled.
