Communications Department

Our mission is to prepare students to communicate effectively as professionals and citizens in our state, nation, and the world community.

Our central goal is to teach students how meaning is created, mediated, and interpreted through word, sound, image, and electronic technology. We offer five areas of specialization:

• Public and Professional Communications
• Public Relations
• Speech and Hearing Sciences
