National Student Speech Language Hearing Association

The Rhode Island College Chapter of the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (Outside LinkNSSLHA), a branch of the American Speech Language Hearing Association (Outside LinkASHA), is an organization of students dedicated to both preparing its members for careers in Speech Pathology or Audiology and to educate the public about the field. We accomplish this by inviting guest speakers to talk about the field, attending conferences regarding the profession, contributing to local groups who advocate for individuals affected by communication disorders, and participating in events on campus and around the state to promote speech, language and hearing awareness. Contact Dr. Harriet Magen, NSSLHA's advisor, for further information.
