Fall 2009 Professional Development Programs

Five-Week Courses for State, Municipal, Nonprofit, and Private Sector Employees

The Office of Continuing Education and Summer Sessions (OCESS) extends the educational offerings and resources of the College and provides administrative assistance to affiliated agencies and organizations on and off campus.

Continuing Education programs serve nondegree adult students, life-long learners, and working professionals seeking retraining or professional development. For agencies and organizations, OCESS provides assistance with establishing courses and workshops and with identifying College resources that support continuing education activities. Rhode Island College has a long history of providing such assistance to business and industry and to public and private schools and agencies.

Summer Sessions provide degree and nondegree undergraduate and graduate students with access to a comprehensive cross section of course work in two six-week sessions each summer. Traditional and intensive courses are offered to accelerate and maximize college study.
