Dr. Chantelle is a licensed psychologist in Rhode Island and the Director of the Counseling Center for Rhode Island College. With experience working in five college counseling centers across the country, she specializes in providing counseling support to college students. She is passionate about group counseling and often works with attachment concerns, PLGBTQQ identity development, relationship concerns, anger and anxiety support, and multicultural concerns.
Applying an integrative approach to treatment, sessions with Dr. Chantelle often involve mindfulness and relaxation work, cognitive interventions focused on moving toward accepting what is inside and outside of your control, imagery work, problem solving, and empowerment in moving toward more secure attachments. Her professional affiliations include membership in the National Association for University and College Counseling Center Directors and American Psychological Association Divisions for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender concerns and Counseling Psychology. Beyond the office, her interest areas include practicing martial arts, relaxing by the ocean, and traveling to visit with friends and family. She is passionate about diversity work, suicide prevention, and offering a welcoming space where clients can identify their key values and find meaning through their lived experiences.
