Admission Requirements
- A completed application form accompanied by a fifty dollar nonrefundable
application fee.
- A master's degree in counseling or a related field. Applicants who have
not taken courses in counselor education must elect or complete eight courses
in the field prior to entrance into the advanced program.
- Official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate records.
- A minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale in undergraduate
course work. A minimum grade point average of 3.25 in previous graduate course
work.
- An official record of scores on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or
Miller Analogies Test (MAT).
- A written statement of purpose.
- Three letters of recommendation.
- A plan of study approved by the advisor and appropriate dean.
- A performance-based evaluation of professional work or volunteer experience.
