Rudolf Kraus
Background
Dr. Rudolf Kraus serves as a faculty member in the Educational Studies Department and is also the Coordinator for Science Education. His research interests include inquiry-based teaching methods and educational assessment.
Dr. Kraus holds a PhD from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Science Education and a Master’s degree in the History and Philosophy of Science and Technology from the University of Toronto. As an undergraduate, he majored in Chemistry and minored in Mathematics at the University of Illinois.
Dr. Kraus is a native of Chicago, and once taught there, at both the Museum of Science and Industry and Cristo Rey Jesuit High School. When not in his office, he occasionally pretends to be a talented soccer player.
