Along with completing required secondary education courses,
students majoring in social science must fulfill the following requirements
to obtain social studies and history certification:

- Geography 400
- History 200 (or an approved social science methods course)

Note: To enroll in Secondary Education 410, students must have
completed at least 24 credit hours in the Social Studies and History Components,
including Economics 214, Geography 400, History 201 and 202, and Political
Science 202. Students are also required to maintain a minimum grade point
average of 2.75 in all courses in the program.
