Early Childhood Education Program

B.A. & B.S. in Early Childhood Education

Whether you plan to seek certification for infant programs through grade two (Early Childhood Education - ECED) or seek certification for grades one through six (Elementary Education - ELED) you will begin your journey once accepted into The Department of Elementary Education at Rhode Island College.

The course requirements for both are the same except for the methods courses, which fall under ECED for Early Childhood or ELED for Elementary Education.

The B.A. and B.S. in Elementary Education are both three-part programs.

• B.A. - Content Major or Academic Major or the B.S. - Teaching Concentration in Special Education
