B.A. & B.S. in Early Childhood Education

Whether you plan to seek certification for infant programs through grade two (Early Childhood Education - ECED) or seek certification for grades one through six (Elementary Education - ELED) you will begin your journey once accepted into the department of Elementary Education at RIC.

The course requirements for both are the same except for the methods courses, which fall under ECED for Early Childhood or ELED for Elementary Education.

M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education

The M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education prepares early childhood educators for leadership positions in the field. This program emphasizes an understanding and commitment to the importance of the early years from Birth to age 8.
