ENGL 205Backgrounds in British Literature to 18004
ENGL 206Backgrounds in British Literature 1800 to Present4
or
ENGL 207Backgrounds in American Literature4
ENGL 460Seminar in Major Authors and Themes4
SIX ADDITIONAL COURSES at the 300- or 400-level, as follows: one pre-1800, one 1801-1900; one post-1900, and three others from any period/genre (for Creative Writing concentrators, these three must be Creative Writing courses). If 207 is not taken, one of the six 300/400 level courses must be in American literature. 18
