Welcome to Facilities and Operations

Our mission is to support the Rhode Island College community by improving the quality of the campus through planning, engineering, constructing, and maintaining by providing superior services in an effective and environmentally-conscience manner.

The office of Facilities and Operations provides 24-hour support services to students, faculty and staff in a timely manner through the use of a computerized work order system for maintenance and emergency repairs.

Facilities and Operations' primary functions include general maintenance, custodial, and grounds maintenance for the college campus as well as planning, design, construction and renovations, warehouse services, utilities, fire safety, event support, signage, recycling and snow removal.

Submitting a Service Request/ Work Order:

For all work order requests, kindly email jteixeira@ric.edu with your request. Be sure to include contact name and number, building location and room number and a brief description of the service request.

Campus Emergencies

During regular business hours, call the Office of Facilities and Operations at (401) 456-8262 with any emergency. Emergencies occurring weekdays after 4:00pm, weekends and holidays, please contact Campus Police at the Office of Security and Safety at (401) 456-8201. Campus Security will respond to the emergency and contact the appropriate Facilities staff, if necessary.
