Lots of photos here, please be patient. I hope you find it worth the wait.

Laurie Pamental's Personal Page

(Here's where you can

find out whether,

you'd like to take

a course with this guy.)

If you're interested, you can see the kinds of

publications I've written . . .

my college experience . . .

or my overall work history.

If you're really curious,

you can check out the rest of the family,

a very interesting bunch.

Or. . .

you can look at the introductory section and Chapter One

of the book I wrote about my trip to Japan,

Daijoobu: Learning from the Japanese.

As for my personal preferences . . .

I love hiking . . .

playing

my

guitar

(especially

celtic

ballads) . . .

and making things out of wood . . .

The first project was the

Zuckerman harpsichord Marie

and I put together over 25

years ago . . . and then

I made a cherrywood

frame for her

needlepoint.

When we moved into a house,

with a basement workshop,

I began to do stuff

on my own . . .

In addition to shelves and bookcases,

I enjoy creating things.

candleholders

and

cutting boards.

Driftwood on rosewood

Japanese crane amongst

porcupine quill reeds

I'm an avid birder (see my Looking for Fun page and the page of Kodak images.)

I also love to eat,

ride my Italian road bike

(that Jason built for me)

play Scrabble,

and read about Japan.

I hope this gives you enough of an idea

about me so you'll feel comfortable in my class.

Hope to see you there.
