Course Description: Students develop a professional-quality
portfolio of media production projects. Emphasis is on conceptual
design, clarity, aesthetics, content, effectiveness of communication
to audience, and technical competence.

Overview: Portfolio is A REEL/Sample of media that best exemplifies the work you are currently capable of producing.

In this course we will assist you in preparing a representative Body of work that is delivered from both a DVD and the Web. During the semester we will have presenters who will demonstrate their work and also hopefully provide you with a potential networking opportunity.

Projects must include:

(1) :30 – :60 second self-portrait. Perhaps this serves as an introduction to the Reel.

(1) 3-5 minute field piece telling a story of an area/locale ie. http://turnhere.com

TurnHere also presents some excellent sample REELS of their work.

At least (1) 3-5 or minute minimovie or series of experimental shorts.

Also plan on integrating all other examples of:
Music, Soundwork, Photographs, Resume, Storyboards, Scripts, Articles, etc.

AND - Any work you’ve produced in courses or otherwise that you feel represent you well.
