Hassan Cigarettes Arctic Cards
These trading cards were issued by the American Tobacco Company circa 1910-1915 in packages of HASSAN Cork-Tip Cigarettes. The images were based on paintings by Albert Jasper Ludwig Operti, F.N.A.G.S. (1852- 1927), a well-known artist of Arctic scenes, whose painting "Farewell" famously depicted the abandonment of the "Advance" by Elisha Kent Kane.
