Jennifer S. Cook

Jenn Cook

Jennifer Cook is an Assistant Professor at Rhode Island College in the Departments of English and Secondary Education. She teaches courses in composition and in English education and works with preservice and inservice teachers in K-12 schools in Rhode Island. Jenn is also an Executive Board Member of the Rhode Island Writing Project, where she co-facilitates a Mentoring Seminar for new teachers and a summer Content Literacy Institute. Jenn's current research interests include induction and beginning teacher development, teacher identity, and, in the field of composition, the intersection of identity, class, and "academic" voice and discourse.
Jenn's current non-research interests include learning new tunes on her mandolin, burning eclectic mix CDs, and traveling wherever and whenever she can.
