• Mandatory Meeting for all who are planning to student teach in Spring 2013
• The RI State Department of Education (RIDE) and the Educational Testing Services (ETS) have adopted several new/regenerated tests required for RI certification. New requirements. Beginning with the September 17, 2011 test administration the following tests will no longer be offered, but the passing scores will be accepted if these tests were taken prior to September 2011:
  • Elementary Education Content Area Exercises (0012)
  • Principles of Learning and Teaching K-6 (0522)
  • Principles of Learning and Teaching 6-12 (0524)
• Praxis II scores will now be submitted online
• The technology competency exam is no longer required for admission to FSEHD. All teacher candidates are highly encouraged to take INST 251 Introduction to Emerging Technologies as an elective.
