Academic Background

I earned an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Bridgewater State College. From there, I went to Boston University and earned a master's degree in Mathematics Education. I taught elementary school on Cape Cod, and was an adjunct professor for Bridgewater State, teaching an early childhood mathematics methods course and a summer course on aviation in the classroom. I went to Boston College where I earned my Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction, with a further focus on mathematics and literacy, and teacher beliefs. While at Boston College, I was a graduate assistant and instructor. I was also a member of the clinical faculty and supervised student teachers.
