The Rhode Island College Foundation Film Studies Scholarship

This scholarship is given to a Film Studies major of particular promise who is entering his or her senior year. The scholarship is credited to the student's full-time tuition fees.

Film Studies Program Faculty Award

This award is granted to an outstanding graduating senior who has completed the major in Film Studies. It is given for particular achievement and scholarship in Film Studies.

Film Studies Program Special Talent Award

All Film Studies majors and minors may apply for and receive Talent Awards each year. Students may submit films and/or videos (including computer animation and computer graphics projects), film or video scripts, or audio productions. Applicants are judged primarily on the evidence of demonstrated skill and talent. The specific amount of each Talent Award is determined by the total funds available to the Film Studies Program and the number of applications.

Honors in Film Studies

Film Studies majors of superior scholastic ability are eligible to participate in the honors program. During the junior and senior years, qualified students may pursue independent study or advanced work in the field. Honors work may consist of a written thesis or a creative project. Upon completing the program, a student is awarded the Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Film Studies.
