Federal regulations require that students borrowing from the Federal Stafford Loan and/or Graduate PLUS programs receive loan counseling at two points in the borrowing cycle. Entrance Counseling is required prior to the first disbursement of a loan, and Exit Counseling is required at the time that a student graduates or otherwise leaves the College.
Entrance and Exit counseling may be completed on-line by clicking on the links below. Note that there are separate links for Stafford Loans and Graduate PLUS. These links will bring you to an interactive web site hosted by Mapping Your Future, a national collaborative, public-service, nonprofit organization providing financial literacy services for students and schools. If you use this method, remember that your counseling session is not finished until you complete and submit the interview checklist at the end of your session.

As an alternative to on-line counseling for Stafford Loans, you may visit the Office of Student Financial Aid on the upper level of Building 3, East Campus, to view a short video presentation. The video is available for viewing every half-hour starting at 9:00am. and ending at 4:00pm, Monday through Thursday. Graduate PLUS borrowers must use the on-line option.
