Raffle Winners Announced - Challenge Met!

On October 3rd during Homecoming weekend, Anne and Bob DeStefano drew the winning raffle tickets. The winners are:

SECOND PRIZE: William Hurry

THIRD PRIZE: Margaret Moy ’86

In September, RIC alum, Anne DeStefano ’66, approached President Nancy Carriuolo with a challenge. If Rhode Island College could sell 250 raffle tickets, which would raise $5,000 to support the DeStefano Fund for Undergraduate Research, DeStefano and her husband Bob would donate a matched amount. The DeStefano Fund for Undergraduate Research provides an exciting opportunity to help fund undergraduate student-faculty collaboration. Support of the fund will help advance the educational experience of students in all disciplines at Rhode Island College.

Rhode Island College rose to the occasion. RIC alumni, friends, faculty, and staff were successful in selling the 250 tickets. With the DeStefano's matching $5,000 this fund is well on its way to the $50,000 goal. The RIC Foundation thanks all who purchased tickets
in support of this important initiative.
