Naming Opportunities on Campus

Rhode Island College (RIC) seeks partnership from its alumni, reunion classes, friends and the business community to help continue building a vibrant, student-centered public institution of higher learning for years to come. Naming opportunities help support RIC’s mission and vision as well as the donor’s charitable intent.

An array of possibilities exists at Rhode Island College for donors interested in naming opportunities. The financial requirements differ, so donors are encouraged to call the Development Office at 401-456-8105 or 401-456-9866.  

The following are examples of locations on campus that have been named:

The Fannie Helen Melcer Dance Studio

The Fannie Helen Melcer Dance Studio in Roberts Hall was established in 2000 with a gift of $108,049 from Billie Burrill in memory of dance professor, Fannie Helen Melcer. 

The Edna M. Snow M.Ed. ’77 Study Room

Edna M. Snow M.Ed. ’77 Study Room in the new residence hall. $10,000 gift and a $50,000 future bequest

The Reinhardt Room in the Adams Library

The Reinhardt Room in the Adams Library named with a $25,000 contribution from Alice ’59 and Frederick Reinhardt. Benefits the Adams Library

Iron and Granite Benches

An iron bench (left) named by the Class of 1986 with a $500 gift and a granite bench (right) on the East Campus given by the Class of 2007 with a $1500 contribution.
