Patricia Overdeep received her MA in Biology from RIC and is now a Ph.D. candidate at Brown University in Molecular and Cell Biology and Biochemistry. She is also Associate Professor in the Science Department at Johnson and Wales University where she has won two teaching awards, one for innovation in the classroom. She is grateful to the faculty at RIC for their good example and friendship. In particular, she says "it is difficult to express what a wonderful learning experience it was to work with Dr. Edythe Anthony. She was an excellent role model and mentor both during my student years and in the years that followed. I attribute my teaching success at RIC and CCRI to the dedication and time that Dr. Anthony and Dr. Kenneth Kinsey invested in coaching me in preparing and teaching lab courses. They are essentially responsible for my teaching success in these subjects."
